James Crofts has been a professional bassist for the last 20 years. After studying at The Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, he started to pursue his musical career playing bass for original artist Rob Reynolds.

In 2001 James joined Bon Giovi and toured with the band for over 7 years. He left the band to pursue other projects including working with two ABBA shows touring around the world, engineering with Black Cat Audio, working with Transcend Media Group (management & record label), Kazbar Systems (recording studio design and build) and bassist with Aaron Luther. In 2015 James rejoined Bon Giovi as Hugh McDonald.

In 2018 James became the bassist and producer with The George Michael Story. The touring show performs George Michael’s hits in chronological order. The George Michael Story tells in detail, the career of George and his 100 million record selling history..

James is also Co Producer and bassist for George Michael Unplugged. A Tribute which will start touring in 2021.

James is also a session musician, recording bass for original artists from his home studio. You can book James for online sessions.
